Abstract

The article analyzes populist slogans in the 2024 US presidential election campaign. Іt is worth focusing on the main messages of the US presidential candidates. One of them is the important mission of US policy – “America First.” This indicates the populist rhetoric of the leaders of the election race and their methods of meeting with voters. An important emphasis of the 2014 US presidential election campaign was the active use of all electronic resources: TikTok, Viber, Instagram, which made it possible to reach a wide range of electorate and promote their main messages. They also held mass meetings with various segments of the population (doctors, teachers, students, entrepreneurs, farmers), and each had its own main message regarding the election rhetoric.

Taking into account the dynamics of the election campaign, we should pay tribute to the PR campaigns and managers of D. Trump, who successfully organized the leader's meetings in different states of the country, setting the tone for the meetings and immediately making a “short message” for further meetings. Moreover, these meetings demonstrated a lively leader who is able to take the United States to a new level of trust in the world. Just the mere statement that the president could end the war in Ukraine in 24 hours had a huge resonance in various communities. Once again, an important argument for Americans is migration policy, which has been in crisis in recent years and needed to be addressed immediately.

This simple set of solutions appealed to the average voter, who is used to voting with gadgets and no one has canceled the “Bread and Circuses” show, which is always in trend. This was the rhetoric chosen by D. Trump, who from the first day of his presidency signed a hundred acts that determine the course of politics, and even more so geopolitics. This demonstrates the dependence of states on the will of a narrow group of people-leaders who are endowed with majority power, namely, through democratic means, the electoral vote. Never in history has such a powerful power been concentrated in the hands of one person, and one who is so far from democratic views. Another important fact is that neither their own party nor the Democrats, who lost the election and are now disoriented, can oppose them.
