Editorial and Submission Policy

The Editorial Board of the Germanic Philology. Journal of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University ensures a transparent, rigorous, and open procedure for the submission and evaluation of manuscripts. The journal operates in strict accordance with international standards of academic integrity and the requirements for professional scholarly publications.

Manuscript Evaluation and Review Workflow:

  1. Initial Screening (Pre-evaluation): All submitted materials undergo a preliminary assessment for compliance with technical formatting, thematic scope, and academic integrity policies (including mandatory plagiarism detection via specialized software).
  2. Double-Blind Peer Review: Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are subjected to a double-blind peer review process conducted by independent experts in the relevant field. This ensures that both the reviewer and the author remain anonymous to one each other.
  3. Final Decision: The final decision regarding publication is made by the Editorial Board based on the reviewers' recommendations and the article's alignment with the journal’s scientific profile. Authors are formally notified of the acceptance, the need for revisions (including specific deadlines), or the rejection of the manuscript.

Academic Integrity and Ethical Obligations:

  • Originality: Manuscripts must represent original research and must not be under simultaneous consideration by any other publication.
  • Citation Accuracy: Authors are responsible for the precise and complete citation of all utilized sources and data.
  • Conflict of Interest: Authors are required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence the findings or interpretation of the study.

Submission Procedure:

Manuscripts should be submitted via the Electronic Editorial System or sent to the journal’s official email address. Detailed guidelines regarding the structure, formatting, and technical requirements for articles are available in open access on the journal's official website. The Editorial Board regularly updates these regulations to ensure ongoing compliance with international standards of publication ethics (COPE) and the current requirements for professional academic journals.
