Abstract

The article examines the gender aspects of political rights in elections in Ukraine through the identification of gender gaps, the imbalance of women's representation in electoral bodies at various levels. A tendency to increase their representation and to define a clear European integration course of Ukraine (after 2004 and 2014) was revealed. The absence of women in the majority of management positions was noted, regardless of political declarations. The importance of gender equality in the participation of women in the electoral process was emphasized, not only as candidates and voters, but also as election administrators.
