In this study, a comprehensive analysis of the implementation of innovative technologies in the occupational safety system in laboratory research of biological factors was carried out. Particular attention is paid to assessing the impact of automation, digitalization, and intelligent monitoring systems on the level of biosafety, the efficiency of laboratory processes, and occupational risk management. The aim of the study was to evaluate modern innovative approaches to the organization of laboratory research on biological factors and to determine their role in ensuring occupational safety, improving biosafety, and increasing the efficiency of laboratory activities. To achieve this aim, methods of system analysis, synthesis, and comparative evaluation of scientific publications, regulatory legal acts, and international standards in the field of biosafety and occupational safety were used. The information base of the study was formed on the basis of data from scientometric databases (PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, ScienceDirect, Google Scholar) and current regulatory documents in the field of laboratory activities.
It was established that the implementation of innovative technologies (robotization, laboratory information systems, sensor-based monitoring, and artificial intelligence tools) makes it possible to reduce occupational risks, minimize the human factor, reduce costs, and improve the efficiency of occupational safety management. At the same time, key barriers to the implementation of innovations were identified, including financial constraints, insufficient infrastructure development, personnel-related issues, cybersecurity risks, and organizational inertia.
Thus, the effective implementation of innovations in the occupational safety system in laboratory research of biological factors requires a comprehensive approach combining technological, organizational, and regulatory solutions to ensure a high level of biosafety and sustainable development of the laboratory environment.
